“Powerful” Speakers | She Shares Truth: 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

For my devotional/reflections/response to Joshua 1:8-9 last week, click here.

Whenever we listen to teachings and sermons may it be online or at church,
we can say that a message is really influential when it is delivered by a “powerful” speaker.
We tend to lend our ears more specially if we recognize them and know that they have such and such degree
from such and such school and have written such and such books.
I am not saying like it’s a bad thing because I love listening to these powerful speakers myself.
I learned lots of things from the message they give and also from the way they deliver such messages.
We set goals for ourselves that one day we can become powerful speakers like them too.
Again, it is not a bad thing.
But if we wait to share the gospel only when we become like them, that’s where we got it wrong.

Truth is we can share the gospel no matter what our backgrounds and achievements are.
That’s what we do in the She Reads Truth community.
We don’t have to be very good in public speaking or feature writing to share God’s word.
We don’t need any theology degree so we can share the truth about God’s love and grace.
We only need the willingness to open our hearts and share with each other our successes and failures.
We reveal the beautiful and the icky stuffs in our lives and learn from it as a community.
We become vulnerable so we can strengthen each other.
We encourage one another and build each other up.
We allow God to work on our hearts and we as a community becomes a powerful speaker.
Yes we don’t have everything figured out but we don’t let that stop us.
Thank God that His mercy and grace is more than enough for us.
Always was and always will be.

So what are you waiting for?
If you are a woman, come join me and thousands of ladies all over the world at She Reads Truth.
If you are a guy though, I'm pretty sure you can still visit.
Perhaps you will be inspired to start a men's community.
He Reads Truth.
Why not right?

Father, thank you so much that I am part of this community of ladies who yearns for you every day.Thank you for making yourself known to us. May you continue to give us the wisdom to know the right things to do and willingness to do these things. May your name be glorified in our lives and may the world see this and put their trust in You and You alone. Amen!

On the Right Track | She Shares Truth: Joshua 1:8-9

The scripture assignment for this week’s She Shares Truth is Joshua 1:8-9.

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

I have read these particular verses a lot of times but it never tugged my heart strings the way it did now.
Being someone that has been through depression, I can say that leaving it behind is not a cakewalk.
Choosing not to be depressed anymore is difficult to do when you are the one going through it.
It may seem super duper easy but the truth is it is quite very challenging.

You get to that point where you decide to surrender everything to God.
To not be depressed anymore
To fully trust Him and His promises for you
One moment you were depressed and the next you are walking away from it.
You finally have that wonderful peace in your heart and mind.
Yay!
But things are not going to magically change right there and then.
You still have to keep pushing and living life.
It is still so much like when you were depressed only that your faith is in God now.
Not on yourself and certainly not on the things you can and can’t do.
You consult Him and include Him in your decisions.
Your every step is now guided by Him because you want Him to.
But like I said, it’s not a cakewalk.
The enemy is always there to pull you back on the depression pit.
It can be a bit scary huh?

And here is why these verses from Joshua really speak volumes of truth to me.
Even if these commands were directed to Joshua, it still holds so much truth even for us today.
The only way that I can be successful in leaving this depression pit is to meditate on God’s word.
I have to meditate on His commands every day and every night that it never departs my mouth.
Most likely, God’s word will not leave my heart and mind too that I follow Him wherever He leads me.
That I do the things He commanded me to do.
And now He commands me to be strong and courageous.
Even when the journey of moving away from depression becomes too tiring that I would rather stay,
I have to be strong and keep pushing because He will be my strength.
Even when it’s scary that I am not in my “comfort zone” anymore (which is really not comforting at all),
I have to be courageous and trust that I am on my way towards the safe zone with Him.
God did not say the journey won’t be frightening and disappointing.
God did not specifically say it would be easy peasy.
Despite the threats along the way, He said that I still shouldn't be frightened or dismayed.
Why?
Because He is with me wherever I go
Yep, wherever I go.

My story is a lot like Joshua’s huh.
Maybe not in magnitude but still very much the same
He was scared then when he was leading the Israelites when Moses was gone.
But with God’s command and promises, Joshua kept moving.
And Joshua did many great things.
He was able to lead the Israelites into claiming the Promised Land for them.

As I keep saying in my previous posts, I still have a long way to go.
I look forward to the day that I will conquer my own “Promised Land”.
As long as I keep meditating on God’s word day and night, I am on the right track.

Anger to Pleasure | She Shares Truth: Jonah 3 & 4

For my devotional/reflections/response to Jonah 1 & 2, click here.

It is so great to be back to the She Reads Truth community after months of hiatus.
For the past two years, I have been suffering from depression.
And thus my spiritual walk with God suffered a lot too.
When I would read my Bible, I feel like I was not getting anything out of it.
I went through a lot of pain, guilt, worries and fears that it was so hard to make room for God.
It wasn't for the whole two years though.
There were good times and bad times.
But the thing about depression is if you don't cut its roots, it will just resurface over and over again.
When I thought I was making progress, I really was just swimming over the sticky mud, stood up then swam again.
I tried so hard to be in control of things but I just hit rock bottom.
And who was there to pick me up?
GOD.

When I decided to go join the community again, the book of Jonah is the current reading plan.
Oh God’s timing is really always perfect, right!
He knows that I would learn a lot from Jonah and I did.
I talked about it in my previous post.

Jonah 3 & 4 are the assigned scriptures for She SharesTruth this week.
One word really stands out for me in this book: COMPASSION
At the beginning of the book, God just couldn't ignore the Ninevites’ wickedness anymore.
God was angry but He didn't just wipe them out.
He sent Jonah to proclaim to them the news about their wickedness: COMPASSION.
When Jonah finally listened to God, he went to Nineveh and shared God’s message to all the people.
"In forty days, Nineveh will be overturned {smashed to pieces most likely}."

Upon hearing Jonah’s message, the Ninevites believed God.
They believed God!
The greatest to the least of the Ninevites, even the king believed in God.
They repented, asked for forgiveness and wore sackcloth hoping that God would change His mind.
Hoping that God would show them compassion and not be angry with them anymore
Hoping that God would let them live
What was God’s response?
COMPASSION
Plain and simple.

When I was going through that dark moment of my life, I was mad at God.
If He really is in control, then why am I suffering?
I had so many questions and doubts about Him.
It took me a long time to realize that I really was the one trying to control everything.
I am suffering because I refuse to let go and let God.
Finally when I let go, God picked up the pieces and put me back together.
I still have a long way to go but I continue to put my confidence in Him.
He is indeed gracious and compassionate.
I know this now not because Jonah said so but because I have experienced it myself.

This short book ended with Jonah being so mad at God because of His compassion.
Jonah was so mad he wanted to just die already.
Indeed God’s compassion is sometimes so hard to understand.
It may be too complicated for us, but to God, it’s plain and simple.
I love how The Message put it this way:

God said, “What’s this? How is it that you can change your feelings from pleasure to anger overnight about a mere shade tree that you did nothing to get?
You neither planted nor watered it.
It grew up one night and died the next night.
So, why can’t I likewise change what I feel about Nineveh from anger to pleasure,
this big city of more than 120,000 childlike people who don’t yet know right from wrong,
to say nothing of all the innocent animals?”

Jonah 4: 10 – 11 (The Message)

Nothing was really said on what happened to Jonah after that discussion right?
But I know that God is a God of second, third, fourth up to infinite chances.
I have no doubt in my heart and mind that God showed compassion to Jonah and eventually Jonah understood.
How lovely it is to serve a compassionate God!!!

God I pray that as we are blessed to enjoy Your compassion towards us,
may we also learn how to bless others by being compassionate towards them
especially to those who we think don’t deserve it.
We too don’t deserve all the grace and mercy You give to us but You still give it anyway.
Break our hearts for what breaks Yours.
Help us to be gracious, to be slow in anger and to abound in love.
I know it’s not an easy thing to do but I believe that
even if we have just a tiny bit of Your compassion; it is way more than enough already.
Please work on hearts as we continue to serve you daily.
These things I ask in Jesus name.
Amen!

Perfect Peace in the Belly of the Fish | She Shares Truth: Jonah 1 & 2

God defined Nineveh in the book of Jonah as a great city
but despite being great, it also suffers from wickedness.
Probably so wicked that God cannot just simply ignore it anymore.
He clearly loved this city and is concerned about its people that He wanted to redeem them.
The thing about God is that He doesn't choose perfect people to love and
certainly doesn’t choose perfect people to carry out His plans.
He plans and then chooses the person to perform it, regardless if he is perfect or not.

God chose Jonah to carry out His plan and reach out to Nineveh.
Did God think Jonah is THE perfect person to carry out this task?
Maybe. Maybe not.
However, looking at how Jonah reacted when God’s word came to him,
I am not so sure if he is the right one.
I mean, he ran away to the opposite direction as fast as he could when he had the chance to do so.
In my limited human mind, if I was in God’s position, I would have chosen somebody else more willing.
Jonah would be so grateful that I am not God. LOL.
God really is a personal God huh.
When He works in our lives, no matter how willing or unwilling we are,
He just won't give up.
In fact, He would chase us until we realize that it is us that He really wants.
Just wow.

As for Jonah, He sent a great storm after him so that Jonah will realize that
he is who God wants to do the job.
During all the chaos, Jonah finally began to see that
there is no place in the world where he can hide from God.
Upon realizing this, he started owning up to his mistakes and stopped running away from God.
He did not stop there.
He surrendered everything to God even his life when he asked the sailors to throw him overboard.
And yes, the raging sea grew calm.
It calmed down!
Praise be to God!
That was actually a very powerful event that the people on the ship started worshipping God.
What a story of redemption isn't it?
But, God is not done yet especially with Jonah.
He didn't just teach him a lesson and left him for dead, right?
God was there to pick up Jonah and God must have thought
“What better ride is there than a huge, big fish?”.
Uhm no thank you!
If this was a movie, oh I can just imagine the look on Jonah’s face when he realizes that
he is not going to be riding ON it but IN it.
I think I just died.

However, inside the fish, when it seems like everything is over when he surrendered to God,
Jonah started praying to no one else but God.
He knows that he wronged God but still he knows the much bigger truth:
God will listen and will answer to his cry for help.
Jonah was in a very unfortunate moment but he knows the one and only truth,
Salvation comes only from God.
So Jonah continued clinging unto God and with songs of thanksgiving,
he sacrificed himself to God and God alone.
Finally, God commanded the fish to spit Jonah out onto a dry land
where maybe finally he can be on safer ground again.

I realized upon reading the first two chapters of Jonah that
God did not choose Jonah because he is perfect.
God wanted to show to Jonah how great is His mercy and grace and love for His people.
That includes Jonah, the Ninevites and even the people on the ship Jonah was on.
God just loves loving His children.
He will make Himself known to those who really wants to know Him.

Another thing I realized is that Jonah and I are alike in so many ways.
I was headed on my own little Tarshish until God told me that
“Hannah, that is not where I want you to go.”
Because of some decisions I have made in the past (not necessarily wise decisions),
I have experienced a great storm in my life and have been thrown overboard a lot of times.
Finally when I stopped climbing back to my ship, I rested on the water until it calmed down.
I believe that right now, I am inside the fish’s guts.
Ewhhhh. LOL.
But despite this awful smell, I have made a decision that like Jonah,
I will choose to praise God and cry out to Him for I know that He will answer me.
Despite of the circumstances I am in right now,
I have peace in my heart because I believe that my salvation comes from God alone.
While I’m waiting for that moment when I will finally be vomited on dry ground,
I will keep singing the songs of thanksgiving and
I will keep doing what is right and good and pleasing to God.

I still have a long way to go but I’d rather be in this stinking belly on my way towards realizing what God has in store for me than be on my own ship towards my own Tarshish away from Him.
Peace really is not the absence of troubles.
It is the feeling you have in your heart that despite the chaos,
God is with you and will never leave you.

Build Others Up

It's another week!
Another great verse to memorize with the beautiful ladies from She Reads Truth community!
If you are seeking for a community of godly women, I totally recommend She Reads Truth!
The verse for this week is Ephesians 4:29.
I believe it is a great reminder for me (and for you) to really guard my mouth.
My words should benefit others, not destroy them.

Here is a lock screen for you.
I'm using the NIV but if you want other versions, I can make them for you {just leave a comment}.
Feel free to use and share.

You can also check out the lock screen from the community here.

Thanks for dropping by!
May God bless you!

Do not Give Up!

It's another Weekly Truth from the She Reads Truth community.
I have decided not to join in reading the plans anymore.
Wait! But before you get angry and leave my blog, let me explain. :D

Do you ever feel like you are doing something just to get the job done?
Well, that's what I felt when we started reading Proverbs.
I couldn't keep up with the reading of the girls from the community.
At first, I was like, I'll just cram and do many readings at once so I can "keep up" with the girls.
I feel happy on the outside but I felt like I'm not getting anything out of it.
I'm doing the devotional just so I can use #shereadstruth in Intsagram.
I'm just reading it just to check that little tiny circle in the YouVersion app.
I'm reading just so I can say something in the comments.
and believe me, its hard to comment when you really don't understand what the passage meant.
And so I'll just won't comment at all.

Then we started reading Galatians.
And the words of Paul on the first day of the reading never left my mind.

For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man?
If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Galatians 1:10

When I searched my heart on what my motivation is, I realized that I just wanted to please the girls.
I didn't realize it not until I prayed hard and asked God to tell me what am I doing wrong.
Why am I not keeping up with the girls?
Then God revealed to me that the motive of my heart was wrong in the first place.
And with lots of prayers, I came to a decision.
I will not join the community's reading plans anymore.
I will still visit the website.
Well, the idea of the group is to read His word everyday right?
So I can still be part of the community just as long as I am reading the Bible everyday. :)
this time WHOLEHEARTEDLY
I will still share how God is changing me through reading His word on She Shares.
and I will still join the Weekly Truth {and continue making lock screens}.
I will still be instagraming {if that is a word}.

With God's guidance, I will read the Bible on my own pace everyday.
He actually put in my heart to start my reading on Paul's epistles.
No matter how many times I fail in reading His word everyday, I won't give up!

and here is a lock screen for this week's Weekly Truth.
The verse is from Galatians 6:9-10.
feel free to grab it!
I hope God is pleased with it. :)

Christ in Me

This might be already late for the weekly truth at She Reads Truth.
I left my laptop at our laboratory so I wasn't able to make a lock screen.
The verse for this week is from Galatians 2:20.

If my sisters from the community wants to use it, grab it!
I would love it if you do! :)
And yes I would love to make a lock screen of your favorite verse!
Just let me know what verse and version you like!
I'd be happy to make one for you sister!

Our Strong Tower

This week's memory verse at She Reads Truth is Proverbs 18:10.
I so love it!
The leaders chose the verse.
I believe it is the perfect choice!

Indeed the name of the LORD is our strong tower.
So comforting to know that we are safe in our Daddy's arm and we can always run to Him!

I made a lock screen for this week's verse.
Feel free to grab it!
I won't mind.
In fact, I'll be really, truly and deeply blessed if you do.

Lock Screens. Lock Screens. Lock Screens.

I really like making lock screens for the verses we memorize at the She Reads Truth community.
I just started making these lock screens when I got the free iPod.
and I don't just use it for my iPod, I also use it as my desktop background.

I love how it looks on my desktop where it stays in the center and the sides are black.
I can just put my icons on either side so it is easier to find them. {does that make sense?}
Then I have the lock screen in the middle which is now a desktop background.

The verses are chosen by the leaders and different every week.
Well, recently, the leaders said we can choose any verse to memorize instead of them choosing it.
and if ever we do make lock screens, we can share it to the community.
I just love that idea!
So I added a  new page where I can place all the lock screens I have made and will make.

Go to the page #SheReadsTruth Lock Screens at the top or just click here.
Feel free to grab any of it for personal use. :)

And here is an exciting thing for you!
If you want a verse to be made into a lock screen and you don't have time to do it on your own,
I'll be very willing to do it for you.
Don't be shy. :)
It will bless me if you let me do it for you.
Just tell me what verse and version you like and I will do my best to make it for you. :)
You can either give me your e-mail or check  #SheReadsTruth Lock Screens page at the top.

Dreads. Desires.

We have been reading the book of Proverbs in the She Reads Truth community.
Everyday, we read one chapter of the book.
We either pick a verse that tugged our heart or a verse that we don't understand much.
We write both of it down and pray to God to help us listen to what He is trying to say.
We also pray to help us understand the verse that is so hard for us to, well, understand.

Right now, I wanted to share a verse from the tenth chapter that really, truly and deeply tugged my heart.

When I read the verse, there were like light bulbs going off in my head.
Dreads. Desires.
If we really think about it, both have a common ground, both are anticipated.
Dread is to anticipate something we fear.
Desire is like anticipating or looking forward to something we love or like.
Back to the verse,
It seems that everything we look forward to, what we fear or love, will always come to pass.

It will come to pass.

We all have something that we fear or would love to happen in our lives.
It is up to us on which one will.
The one we dread or the one we desire?
and it depends whether we are righteous or wicked.

WOW!
This is like a wake up call for me.
Everything that the righteous desires will be granted.
But lets not forget that everything the wicked dreads will still overtake him.

and another one that really hit my heart is the fact that
We are already made righteous because of our faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Our righteousness is a gift!
Therefore, if we are righteous, then we can claim the promise right????
:)
Isn't that exciting!!!
Whatever we desire will be granted.

I have to remember this verse always.
For this weeks Weekly Truth, the leaders said that we can choose whatever verse we want to memorize.
I think I have decided which one is mine.

Feel free to download the lock screen I made for Proverbs 10:24.
Let us memorize it, believe it and claim it!
If you want to use the lock screen, get it here.
Or you can just click the image above.
And if you like it, feel free to share it to your friends.
It will truly bless me if you do that. :)
Have a blessed week!

By the way, as I was reading the comments, two girls commented that they will memorize Proverbs 13:13.
Although they didn't ask me to make one for them, I volunteered! LOL
Here it is.

In the Way of Insight

Oh how I've missed the weekly memory verse at She Reads Truth community.
There have been awesome and new changes in the community so Weekly Truth was postponed for a while.
It's not that I can't/don't memorize verses on my own.
There is just something special when the whole community do it.
After all, it  is the aim of the community anyways.
Reading the truth TOGETHER.

I really thank God for the beautiful founders of the community.
They are awesome and their dedication to make this community going just blows my mind!

The memory verse for this week is from Proverbs 9:6.
Jessi already made a lock screen for this verse, but I just wanted to make one of my own.
I hope she don't mind. ;)

And if you want to use this too then feel free to download it here.
Be blessed and feel free to share!
God bless you!

She Shares Friday: Grace Days

I am truly blessed with Grace Days over at She Reads Truth community.
I get so caught with everything that I need to do and forgets to spend time with God in reading His word.
I know I am not perfect but I am not going to make that one as an excuse.
In fact, I don't have any excuse at all to not read His truth
We at the community strives to read His truth everyday and yet sometimes we fail.
But we acknowledge our mistakes, learn from it and encourage one another.
I am not alone.
I have these wonderful women beside me who is running the race with me.
It is a great honor to be serving God with these ladies even if we really don't know each other in person.

Last week, I received an email from YouVersion titled "Behind on your Prayer Bible plan?".
Good thing it didn't say how many days I am behind or I would be very guilty.
I was even afraid to open it because of the guilt.
Yes, I have 6 unread days up to that time.
Not so nice is it?
Yet, when I opened the email, it said:

When life gets busy, sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everything. But when we make time for God’s Word, it has a way of putting all of that activity into perspective. It looks like you’re a bit behind on your Prayer plan, so we thought we’d share a few of our favorite tips for getting back on track. We’re convinced God speaks to us when we read His Word, so we believe it’s important to help each other connect with the Bible.

I did not feel guilty.
I felt CONVICTED.
Indeed guilt paralyzes and condemns.
Conviction on the other hand motivates and brings freedom to right a wrong!
By Sunday, I was all caught up.
Yay!

But you see, the funny and true thing is when you are forming a habit, especially a good one, it takes effort.
A lot of it.
We fail over and over again but we just have to keep trying.
In the last 2 days of the Prayer Plan, I got busy again.
That is when Grace Days happened in the community.
We can  use it to get caught up with all the reading plans that we were not able to read.
For those who were not behind, they could use it to reflect and pray.
They could even read other 2-4 day reading plans in YouVersion.
I am happy to report that I am all caught up with my Prayer plan.
Although, I still have some few unread days from the previous plans.
I'll be working on that this weekend before the new plan comes this Monday.
Excited much!

See, even when we keep repeating our mistakes, its not gonna be the end of the world.
We just have to decide to do the right thing over and over and over and over and over and over again.
 You know why?

And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace
{upon grace upon grace upon grace upon grace upon grace upon grace upon grace}
John 1:16

You know another reason why?

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
2 Corinthians 12:9a

If you haven't checked the community, don't be shy and click here to go there.
It will really bless you!!!

Praise Report Monday

It is time for another praise report!
Although I think this will be my last PRM.
I'm just gonna stop the series but I will forever praise God for His goodness.

The #SheReadsTruth community that I belong to is doing Friday SheShares Link up.
I love how the SheReadsTruth Team put it this way:
It is a way for us to share stories of how God is changing each one of us.
Life change.
New beginnings.
Fresh starts and messes wiped clean.
Rough roads and aftermath of life’s storms.
The stories of how He is changing our life.

SheShares

I usually just link up my Praise Report Monday to the She Shares link up by Friday.
But then I decided to just do it every Friday.
It is a matter of preference.
I will be starting this coming Friday.
It will still have my praise reports as well as how He is changing me with His word.

Now for my praise report in this lovely Monday morning.
I am so thankful for the wonderful family that God gave me.
Yesterday, no one came to the home fellowship.
It was just us.
My Papa, Mama, younger sister Cathy, younger brother Jeff, niece Zyrish and I.
But that didn't stop our family to sing praises to God.
I am so blessed that I am with them in glorifying God.
We also prayed and prayed a lot especially for out brothers and sisters who were not there with us.
I am confident to say that no life storm can ever break us apart because we are held tight by God's love.
I  am indeed very blessed!

I also want to thank God for how He took a hold of my heart when it was hurt by someone I cared for.
I am not going into details of how it happened.
I am just thankful that I found peace in Him.
When I didn't know how to deal with the situation,
God worked on the situation.
Forgiveness was already given and I am on a healing process right now.
Still I want to thank God for reminding me of His truth and His big love for me.
People may hurt me but He will always be there to love me.
He is there for you too!
Never ever forget that one.

How did God bless you in the past week?
Please share it in the comment below.
See you this Friday for the She Shares Friday link up.
Or if you haven't checked the #SheReadsTruth community, don't be shy and click here to go there.
It will really bless you.
Come on!
I know you want to!!!
I love you in God's love!

Praise Report Monday

Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever.
Psalm 145:2

Remember my first Praise Report Monday?
I was greatly blessed when Jessica told me that she will give me an iPod and it's FREE!
My praise report for this Monday morning is related to that praise report.

When Jessica told me that the iPod is on its way here, I got worried if it will really get here.
Our customs is like known for opening packages and even in making them disappear.
But I continued to pray that it will really get to me {with my prayer partner, the Fiance}.
Jessica also prayed that it wouldn't take a month for it to get to me.
Usually, it takes at least a month for a package to get here.
Even mails take at least two weeks.

Are you ready to be amazed and marvel at God's greatness?
HERE WE GO!

Thursday last week, Mr. Postman paid us a visit.
I got a letter from a friend whose name is also Jessica.
I was beaming because I got another letter in the mail. I love mails!
And then he added that I have a package. *gasp*
He said I should get it from the post office that very day.
I wasn't sure if I will jump or what.
I was like wow!!!
Jessica sent it last June 30 and it came July 12.
That was like only 12 days!
It only took less than 2 weeks!
How amazing is that?

the package in all its glory!

Wanna see what is inside?
Okay! Wish granted!

This is what is inside.
JUST THIS! :'(
Nothing but air bags.

Just kidding!!!
Here is what I really got!

#1
I got a sweet letter from her. :)
There is even a prayer inside that truly touched my heart.
I am so blessed by everything that she said.
This girl have so much love in her heart and also a wisdom on what to say to people.
I ♥ her. {and not just because she gave me a free iPod}
She really is lovely.
Also, my niece loved the paper so much and said that she wants to have it. :)

#2
The package also came with an iTunes card.
I was totally blown away.
My heart was like screaming and overwhelmed with joy!
{Yep, that is me wearing the red shirt in the picture behind the letter.}

#3
and the most awaited item inside the box
my first ever iPod Touch! Yay!

Isn't she pretty???
and yes, I love her!
So far, I am having such a great and blessed time with my iPod.
I am still learning how to use it though. ;)
I am really really thankful for it.
Thank you again sweet Jessica!

I am really astonished as to how fast God works.
I know I shouldn't be surprised anymore because this is who He is.
But still, at times like this, I could never stop myself from praising Him for being so great! Amen?
I mean He was and is always great, don't get me wrong.
I do believe we should proclaim His greatness even when our  prayers are not answered yet.
Or even when we are going through rough times.
But like I said, it is during these times when He shows how sovereign He is that you will be really blown away.

Oh by the way, the #SheReadsTruth community is now following a new plan titled PRAYER.
Head over to the community and be blessed! :)
Come on! I know you want to! :)

Praise Report Monday

It's time for another Praise Report Monday.
Another time to praise God's greatness and proclaim His name.
God is great and we can take refuge in Him.

I am so thankful to God that throughout the week, He was with me and my whole family.
He gave us good health and showered us with blessings, food in the table and a comfortable home.
I am also thankful that He continues to watch over my Ate Vanessa in Kuwait.
He is really amazing at taking care of her.
We miss her a lot though and can't wait to see her again!

Another thing that I am thankful for is the #SheReadsTruth community.
Reading His truth daily. This time? We're doing it together.
What a catchy phrase right?
How awesome it is to be reading God's word daily!
Much more awesome because you have a bunch of daughters of the Most High doing it with you.
Why don't you go ahead and see for yourself and be blessed!
I thank God that I found the community at the right time.{click here to read on how I found it}
I have been in the community for almost a month now.
I tell you that the founders of the community are really empowered by God to choose the right plans for us to read.
I am currently reading two plans right now, the Soul Detox and Living the Surrendered Life.
The reason is when I found the community, they are already reading the Soul Detox plan.
So when the community started the Living the Surrendered Life plan, I read it alongside with Soul Detox.
You can never have TOO MUCH word of God. :)
And with the two plans, I've been removing the toxic things in my life and giving my all to God.

Another blessing that I am thankful for is a teaching I found in YouTube.
It is by Beth Moore.
The one that really got me to watch it is the title.
Get Out if that Pit.
I totally didn't regret that I watched it.
It was 49 minutes of my life that I am truly thankful for.
If you think you are stuck in a place and feel like you can't get out, watch this.
Feel like you are trapped inside fears and regrets? Watch this.
You will be truly blessed I assure you.

And the last blessing for this post but definitely not the least is my Fiance.
I am so thankful for having him in my life especially this week.
He continues to encourage me to smile and he loves me all the times.
He may not be my best comforter when I am down. God is.
But he is the next best thing to God. :)
